 Summary

In September 1994, Chris founded Infratech Corporation, seeing the need for high quality contractors to service the electric utility industry. His vision has driven the growth of the Company from an initial 4-man drill crew operation to a full turnkey provider to the electric utility industry with licenses to do business in 21 states. Through his leadership, Infratech now enjoys long-tenured relationships with many of the utility companies (IOU’s and Co-Ops) from Florida to the Mid-Atlantic area and across to Texas.

Career

Chris began his career in utility construction in 1978 while attending the University of Maryland, studying biochemistry. He worked his way up through the ranks from foreman to Regional Vice President  working on gas, phone, cable TV and power projects. He had the opportunity to join a technology startup funded by the Electrical Power Research Institute to run a 12-state Southeast Region. Chris qualified the company in several states by obtaining professional licenses in water and sewer construction, engineering, electrical contracting, utility management and gas contracting, among others. Just before launching Infratech Corporation, Chris managed the very first operation in the Southeast US providing directional drilling and other trenchless services for the rehabilitation and replacement of failed power distribution systems.

As Founder and the Chief Executive Officer at Infratech, Chris developed the tag line “Partnering for Improved Infrastructure” and instilled the belief that forming true partnerships with customers, vendors and employees leads to beneficial business relationships and results that are based on trust and commitment that enhance the capabilities of all parties.  Chris continues to be a strong force in keeping the Company culture intact as it positions itself as a leading turn-key service provider to the electric utility industry.
