Mark Wimberly is a semi-retired Utility Executive with over 45 years of experience. He has a long history of providing strategic consulting services related to utility operations. Before joining Infratech Corporation, Mark held numerous senior level leadership roles within several southern-based major electric utilities such as Duke Energy, Progress Energy, and the Southern Company. Roles at the Southern Company included leadership in merger and acquisition
activities, and joint venture partnerships. In his new role as Senior Business Advisor to Infratech Corporation, Mark is focused on strategic business development and operations.

Before joining Infratech, Mark’s most recent position was Director of Distribution Engineering at DRG Technical Solutions, LLC and he was based in Prosper, Texas. During those three years, he directed the development and operation of their utility engineering design business. Prior to working for DRG, Mr. Wimberly was the Vice President of Central Zone for Duke Energy Corporation. During his over seven years of employment with Duke, he held and excelled in additional leadership roles. Those forward-thinking positions included Vice President Customer Delivery Programs and Support, Vice President Contractor Operations, Director Grid Investments (a $2 billion+ portfolio), and General Manager Grid Modernization. Mark also held multiple positions during his nine+ year of employment within Progress Energy, including the position of Vice President Distribution Construction and Maintenance. He was based in St. Petersburg, Florida for their South Coastal Zone. Throughout his Progress employment, he also was Director of Financial Services, managing the budget for all operating divisions within Progress Energy. During his eleven years of employment within Southern Company, he held multiple leadership roles, including many within the operating companies of Southern. Those companies include Gulf Power Company, Alabama Power, Southern Electric International, and Mississippi Power. His leadership positions at Southern Company included General Mgr. for Generation Development (based in Atlanta, GA), Region Mgr. for Distribution Construction, Operation, and Maintenance (based in Panama City, FL), Assistant to the VP of Alabama Power (based in Birmingham, AL), Director of South Pacific Operations (based in Melbourne, Australia), and Mgr. of Federal Affairs for Mississippi Power (based in Washington, DC).
